OUR FUTURE HOME

iD Baseball ● HomeOUR FUTURE HOME

The addition of our new home marks a major step forward for both iD Baseball and the future of Grey Ducks Baseball. Located in Plymouth, Minnesota, the new 11,500+ square foot facility is currently planned to open this summer ahead of the Fall Baseball season and will serve as the year-round home for player development, training, and team operations.

The vision behind iD Baseball has always been bigger than simply opening another training facility. The name “iD” represents the idea of identifying your blueprint — understanding that every athlete develops differently with different strengths, different timelines, and different paths. That philosophy has become the foundation of everything we do as coaches, trainers, and mentors.

“I’ve been coaching & scouting for over 15 years now, and this has been long overdue. It’s been something I’ve always wanted to create. Somewhere along the way, I think the focus on actual development — not just chasing metrics — has been lost a bit. Every player is different with different strengths, different timelines, different paths, and I’ve always believed in helping players understand that part of development while helping them identify their own unique blueprint.”
— Brett Thorney, Owner of iD Baseball

The facility will feature six cages and pitching lanes, a 3,000 square foot strength and performance area with a turf slip, and a membership-based training model built around consistency and long-term development. Unlike traditional facilities centered around one-off lessons and cage rentals, iD Baseball will focus heavily on structured small-group training environments that allow athletes to receive more repetitions, more consistency, more accountability, and more interaction with teammates and coaches.

Our belief has always been that quality development matters more than quantity. Smaller training groups create better environments for learning, competition, and relationships while still allowing athletes individualized attention. We believe players improve the most when they are consistently surrounded by motivated athletes, experienced coaches, and a system designed around progression instead of quick fixes.

The new facility will also become the official home of Grey Ducks Baseball as the organization continues transitioning fully in-house. By combining teams, training, strength and performance, and facility access under one roof, the goal is to create a complete developmental environment where players can continue growing year-round both on and off the field.

As construction moves forward, more details regarding memberships, training programs, and the official grand opening will continue to be announced throughout the summer.
